As a long-time admirer of both Anarchic Adjustment and NEIGHBORHOOD, this collaboration has been nothing short of exhilarating for me. Growing up in London, I’ve seen Anarchic Adjustment evolve from a small skateboard brand to a symbol of the city’s counterculture scene, while NEIGHBORHOOD has always held a special place in my heart as a beacon of Japanese streetwear.
For years, Anarchic Adjustment has been a well-known tag among skateboarders and streetwear fans in London. But this counterculture-influenced brand, led by Nick Philip, is now looking beyond its British roots. A significant factor driving this expansion is its first collaboration with Shinsuke Takizawa’s NEIGHBORHOOD, which marks a step into new territories.
In their first collaboration, the graphic-focused collection is concise and clear, demonstrating their combined talents as a duo. It features a hoodie, long-sleeve tee, and two short-sleeve tees. The collection is immersed in shades of red, blue, black, and white.
In the development of the shared language between NEIGHBORHOOD and Anarchic Adjustment, the capsule emphasizes visual elements by placing various combined emblems on each item. Notably, hoodies carry a large Anarchic Adjustment emblem in the center, beneath which is written “NEIGHBORHOOD”. Additionally, text along the left sleeve declares, “The main objective of Anarchism is to ensure maximum freedom for everyone.
60th Anniversary T-shirts featuring the “Circle A” logo are available, commemorating the 60-year milestone since the establishment of the Circle A in 1964. These tees honor both NEIGHBORHOOD and Anarchic Adjustment, brands that acknowledge this significant anniversary symbolizing anarchy worldwide.
Check out the initial ‘NEIGHBORHOOD x Anarchic Adjustment‘ collection showcased in the guide above, which will be available for purchase starting this coming Saturday, December 21st, exclusively on NEIGHBORHOOD’s official online store.
