Netflix Adds New Feature That Makes It Easy to Share Clips From Shows on Social Media

As a passionate Netflix enthusiast with countless hours spent binge-watching my favorite shows and films, I’m absolutely thrilled about the new “Moments” feature! It’s like having a personal highlight reel of all those unforgettable scenes that leave us laughing, crying, or simply speechless. The convenience of being able to share these moments with friends on social media platforms is just the cherry on top.

Netflix has tightened its rules regarding password sharing, but they are now welcoming the concept of clip sharing as they kick off a fresh marketing strategy.

On Monday, Netflix plans to introduce a new feature called “Moments.” This feature enables users to effortlessly bookmark their preferred scenes from Netflix shows and movies. With a simple click, users can revisit these moments whenever they want or instantly share them on social media platforms such as Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook.

If a user posts a video elsewhere, followers can simply tap the link and instantly access that specific scene within their personal Netflix application.

Moments, a new feature, is currently available on Apple iOS devices, with plans to launch on Android soon. By tapping “Moments” at the bottom of your screen, you can easily save any particular scene. This saved scene will be stored under your “My Netflix” tab for later viewing. You can revisit this moment whenever you want, and if you decide to resume an episode, it will pick up right from where you left off in that specific scene.

However, one standout aspect of moments is their capability to effortlessly disseminate a particular scene across various social media platforms. This action aims to stimulate discussions and dialogues about Netflix shows, effectively boosting the traditional ‘water cooler talk’.

The Moments feature also comes as Netflix launches a new brand advertising campaign called “It’s So Good.” The campaign leans into Netflix pop culture moments, featuring appearances from Cardi B, Simone Biles and Giancarlo Esposito, each of whom are sharing their own favorite scenes from Netflix shows.
