As a seasoned film enthusiast with a penchant for legal dramas and a soft spot for Matthew McConaughey’s portrayal of Mickey Haller in the movies, I eagerly anticipate the premiere of The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3. Having spent countless hours engrossed in the complexities of courtroom drama, I can only imagine the depth and intrigue that await us in this new season, based on Michael Connelly’s bestselling novels.
As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the upcoming season of “The Lincoln Lawyer” will be just as captivating as its predecessors, boasting ten episodes! The narrative this time revolves around author Michael Connelly’s fifth novel, “The Gods of Guilt,” published in 2013. This gripping story follows the journey of a bold and charming defense attorney from Los Angeles, and I, as Mickey Haller, can hardly contain my excitement about the challenges that await me this season. In an exclusive interview with Tudum, I hinted at the intrigue that lies ahead for my character, leaving fans on the edge of their seats in anticipation!
“This season is incredibly thrilling as Mickey juggles numerous challenges concurrently – love dilemmas, family issues, and casework. Each turn takes you by surprise, questioning who might prove untrustworthy and who may ultimately bear the guilt.”
In addition to Garcia-Rulfo, Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson, YaYa DaCosta, Elliott Gould, Krista Warner, Fiona Rene, and Devon Graye, all return to their cherished roles from the Lincoln Lawyer series for Season 3. Meanwhile, some fresh faces are set to join the growing ensemble cast in this upcoming season.
San Diego Won’t Stand Between Mickey & Maggie
From the January sneak peek of “The Lincoln Lawyer” Season 3, it was evident that Mickey (Garcia-Rulfo) and Maggie (Campbell) would interact more extensively. Co-showrunner Ted Humphrey hinted that this relationship will continue to significantly impact Mickey’s personal life. Moreover, Garcia-Rulfo provides a glimpse into the current mental state of character Mickey, now that Maggie is based in San Diego. This was shared during a recent interview.
Even if she’s not there, [she’s] always in the back of his being. There’s always something about Maggie that’s there. When he meets new girls, I think he’s always feeling that he’s cheating on her.
Alongside the familiar faces from previous seasons, Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer introduces four fresh characters. Merrin Dungey assumes the role of a young judge named Regina Turner, while Allyn Moriyon plays a former babysitter to Mickey’s daughter who reappears in Haller’s life seeking legal assistance. John Pirruccello joins as a new prosecutor, and Philip Anthony-Rodriguez is cast as the Chief Deputy DA.
Enthusiasts who’ve been eagerly anticipating the return of The Lincoln Lawyer since its third season was announced in the summer of 2023 now have an extra reason to be excited when it airs this October. In addition to the show’s comeback, Mickey Haller’s iconic vehicles – a “beachy” convertible Volkswagen and his striking 1963 powder-blue Lincoln Continental – will also make their appearances on screen.
During a recent interview, Garcia-Rulfo expressed his admiration for his co-star, a 1963 Lincoln, and hinted that he’s eager to drive the classic car in real life soon. He stated, “Working nights in that convertible, that Lincoln, is amazing. I’m hoping at the end, Netflix will say, ‘Manuel, this is your wrap gift.'” Fingers crossed that Garcia-Rulfo gets his wish, and for fans, the true gift would be the anticipated return of The Lincoln Lawyer this fall.
On Thursday, October 17th, all 10 episodes of The Lincoln Lawyer‘s third season will be released only on Netflix.
