New Black Panther Confirmed For Avengers: Doomsday And Secret Wars!

As a movie enthusiast, I must share my thoughts on “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” the 30th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which was released following Chadwick Boseman’s tragic passing in 2020 at the age of 43. In this film, Marvel Studios chose to pass on the mantle of Black Panther to Letitia Wright’s character, Shuri, rather than recasting T’Challa. However, the end-credits scene revealed that T’Challa’s son, Toussaint, also carries the Wakandan name T’Challa. Interestingly, whispers have been circulating this month about casting for a new adult version of Black Panther, although this has yet to be officially confirmed. Stay tuned for more updates on when we might see this new character take on the role.

According to reports from Scooper @MyTimeToShineHello (via ComicBookMovie), it seems that the next version of T’Challa may appear in upcoming Marvel films “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars”. If this is true, he will likely be the main character in “Black Panther 3”, with Denzel Washington also set to feature. Given that these movies mark the end of The Multiverse Saga which began in 2021, it’s possible that this T’Challa comes from a different part of the Marvel multiverse. It remains unclear whether this character will be an entirely new version of Toussaint or a variant of the T’Challa portrayed by Chadwick Boseman, but many believe it will be the latter.

Chadwick Boseman’s Guidance Towards Daniel Kaluuya in Black Panther was a Life-Changing Encounter for Him.

After Chadwick Boseman’s passing, a multitude of fans sent heartfelt messages to his Black Panther co-star, believing him to be Chad’s real father. However, he responded graciously.

Upon the demise of Chadwick Boseman, numerous fans assumed his Black Panther co-star was his biological dad and sent condolences. Yet, his reaction was touching.

In a manner similar to Chadwick Boseman’s introduction as T’Challa in Captain America: Civil War and his subsequent lead role in Black Panther two years later, Marvel Studios seems to be planning a similar strategy for this new T’Challa. If accurate, they intend to introduce Doomsday and Secret Wars as preludes to showcase the abilities of the new T’Challa. Once the threat posed by Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom and his allies is defeated, Phase 7 will commence, and Black Panther 3 will be part of that lineup. I ponder if this T’Challa will be active in the main MCU reality or if he’ll operate in a different universe during the third installment, although the answer to that question may become clearer once Secret Wars is released.

In a previous post, it was hinted that John David Washington, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Aaron Pierre are potential choices to portray the new T’Challa. However, this information should be taken with a large dose of skepticism at this time, particularly regarding Pierre, as he is set to star in the upcoming DC TV series “Lanterns.” If this recasting indeed happens, I have reservations about it because I don’t want Shuri to be pushed aside. As the current Black Panther, she should continue to hold onto that title for a longer period than just the second half of “Wakanda Forever.

The films titled “Avengers: Cataclysm” and “Avengers: Hidden Wars” are slated for release on May 1, 2026 and May 7, 2027 respectively. We’re hoping to hear more about whether Black Panther will make an appearance in either film by the end of this year.
