In just under a week, “Fear Street: Prom Queen” shot up to the top spot on Netflix’s global weekly chart. Debuting on May 23, this film is the fourth installment in the series following the 2021 trilogy – “1994”, “1978”, and “1666”. As a standalone movie within the “Fear Street” franchise, it introduces us to Lori Granger (played by India Fowler), Megan Rogers (Suzanna Son), and Tiffany Falconer (Fina Strazza), among others. The film brings back the masked slasher in the town of Shadyside.
Based on Netflix reports, “Fear Street: Prom Queen” garnered an impressive 10.7 million views in only three days and a total of 16 million hours watched. This remarkable performance pushed the film to the number one spot on Netflix’s chart, dethroning “Nonnas” which had held the position for two weeks previously.
