New ‘Night at the Museum’ Movie in the Works

20th Century and Shawn Levy‘s 21 Laps are revisiting Night at the Museum.

In this remade series, Ben Stiller portrays a night watchman at a Natural History Museum. Due to an old Egyptian spell, museum artifacts mysteriously become active during the night. Rami Malek, Robin Williams, and Owen Wilson are some of the talented individuals who took on roles as these animated exhibits.

Tripper Clancy (known from the movies Die Hard and Stuber) is responsible for creating a fresh perspective. As of now, specifics about the plot for the remake remain confidential.

The first movie was released in 2006, and it was succeeded by “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian” in 2009, as well as “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” in 2014. In total, there are three films in this series, which earned more than $540 million at the domestic box office. All of these movies were directed by Levy.

The team of Levy and Dan Levine are set to create a fresh version of a new project for 21 Laps. Emily Morris is in charge of this project. Notably, 21 Laps, who are about to release the last season of Stranger Things, are represented by WME.
