Nike Basketball Hosted a Special Edition of the SNKRS Showcase Series

This week is shaping up to be quite memorable for Nike Basketball. They kicked things off by unveiling Giannis Antetokounmpo’s new Nike Giannis Freak 7 and announcing the Nike Sabrina 3, Sabrina Ionescu’s latest signature shoe. The excitement level was then taken to unprecedented heights with a live edition of the SNKRS Showcase Series, revealing more than 20 upcoming shoes. These include designs from the Greater Than (GT) series, new colorways for signature shoes, and even some classic retro styles. We’ve put together a comprehensive summary of the reveals, which are scheduled to hit the market from next month all the way through early 2026.

The GT Series Collection

To begin with, we have a lineup of upcoming GT Series releases, led by the all-new GT Future. This season’s must-have sneaker will be available in three colorways: “Metallic,” “Fire,” and “Lightning.” The popular GT Cut 1 is making its return as the GT Cut 1 Retro, offering fresh color options such as “Volt,” “Black/Chrome,” and “White/Chrome.” Lastly, the latest addition to the GT Cut series, the GT Cut 3, features a unique animal-inspired PE from Jordan Poole.

The ST Flare Collection

This year, Nike Basketball unveiled the ST Flare, a streetball shoe exclusively available in China, which they are now preparing to release in two new colorways: “Light Wild Mango” and “Dark Smoke Grey”. These color options provide a daring and stylish appearance respectively.

The Ja Collection

In April, Ja Morant and Nike unveiled the Nike Ja 3 shoe, which Morant wore during his series against the Oklahoma City Thunder, who eventually became champions. The shoe is set to be released this fall, and the lead colorway, called “Max Volume,” will soon be joined by other designs, including “NY vs NY” and “EYBL.” Additionally, there will also be a silver pair without a name. All these versions prominently display graffiti drawn by Morant, forming an ingenious “JA” callout when combined with the lateral Swoosh.

The Giannis Collection

Just a day has passed since Nike officially unveiled Giannis Antetokounmpo’s upcoming shoe, the Freak 7. Now, the “Ignition” model is back, accompanied by a “Live Wire” version featuring a pink colorway. The Euro step, a key move in his gameplay, is highlighted in its modern design, making it easier for Antetokounmpo to navigate any defense effortlessly. Expect these shoes to make their debut on store shelves towards the end of this month.

The KD Collection

Next season, Kevin Durant is returning to Texas following his key role in an unprecedented seven-team trade this offseason. He’ll be playing for the Houston Rockets, who were seeking a skilled shooter. At 36 years old, Durant will continue to chase championship glory with the Nike KD 18 shoes once more. The latest designs of these shoes have been hinted at, including a “Halloween” version decorated with skeletons, a “Rise” edition inspired by the University of Texas, and a sparkling “International Blue” style.

The Retro Collection

The comprehensive overview concludes with a vintage assortment, encompassing three timeless designs. First up is the Air Foamposite Pro, scheduled to drop in colors such as “Pearl,” “Pine Green,” “Black/Varsity Red,” and “Black/Dark Smoke Grey” over the next nine months. The excitement surrounding Posites remains high with the Air Flightposite adorning a shimmering “Midnight Navy” and seasonal “Baroque Brown.” Lastly, the lineup is completed by Kevin Durant’s KD 4 in its original “Texas Longhorns” orange and white.
