As a seasoned sneakerhead with decades of collecting under my belt, I can confidently say that Nike never fails to impress with their innovative designs and timeless classics. The upcoming Nike Air Max 90 “Dark Russet” is no exception. With its striking colorway, metallic accents, and a nod to the iconic Air Tuned Max “Celery,” this shoe is sure to turn heads on the streets.
Nike Air Max 90 – “Dark Russet” Edition
Nike consistently draws inspiration from past designs for its latest footwear creations. Specifically, they are reviving the vibe of a classic 1999 model, the Air Tuned Max “Celery,” by introducing the Nike Air Max 90 “Dark Russet” as their latest offering.
The “Dark Russet” version features a vibrant color scheme, resting on a black mesh foundation and boasting metallic copper accents and an upper with an iridescent sheen. Sitting atop a black midsole and outsole, its eyelets are highlighted in dark russet alongside another iridescent touch of Nike branding on the tongue. An all-black Nike logo is also visible on the shoe’s heel.
In 2017, the Air Tuned Max model known as “Celery” was mentioned by Skepta in his partnership with Air Max 97, and it was re-released in its original form in 2021.
Check out the Nike Air Max 90 “Dark Russet” displayed in the gallery above and grab a pair for yourself starting October 15, priced at $140 USD.
