Nike’s Valentine’s Day Cortez Says “Love is in the Pair”

For Valentine’s Day 2024, Nike has introduced a fun, heart-themed version of their popular retro sneaker, previously adorned with luxurious suede, as a special offering for the upcoming celebration of love.

2025’s Valentine’s Day edition of Cortez features predominantly red textile upper material, subtly embellished with tiny heart patterns in a similar tone. The red is further emphasized by suede details on the heel counters, toe caps, and eyestays. In contrast, the tongue and laces are a striking white, with a wordmark tag adorned with embroidered pink hearts that match the white heel tabs, midsoles, and leather Nike swoosh overlays.

Inside these shoes, you’ll find retro, pixelated heart designs imprinted on the shoe linings. At the back of the tongue tab, it reads “Love is in the Pair.” To complete the look, each pair comes with mini half-heart charms that echo the pixelated style seen on the insoles.

On this year’s Valentine’s Day roster from Nike, you’ll find the Ja 2 “Heart Eyes” and Dunk Low “Roses,” joined by other romantic-themed sneakers.
