In a recent turn of events, Bollywood megastar Ajay Devgn’s nephew, Aaman Devgan, launched his acting career alongside Rasha Thadani, daughter of veteran actress Raveena Tandon, in the film “Azaad”. The pair generated quite a stir with their intense on-screen romance. Interestingly, Aaman wasn’t initially cast for this role. Instead, Siddharth Nigam, who gained fame through his portrayal in “Hai Junoon”, was the original choice. However, after the entire script had been shared with him, things didn’t quite work out as planned.
In a recent chat with Instant Bollywood, Siddharth Nigam’s mom shared some insights, mentioning that she accompanied him to the meeting where the whole script was explained, followed by a one-year wait.
She openly expressed her satisfaction with the movie, stating it served as an effective debut for Siddharth Nigam within the entertainment industry. Furthermore, she admitted to appreciating the narrative of Azaad.
Apologies for any missteps, but things didn’t turn out as planned. Admit it, I found myself saying to my son Siddharth, “Out of nowhere, after two years, Siddharth showed me a poster of Azaad. He said, ‘Mom, this movie has been released, and these are the actors in it.’ Upon closer look, we realized that the film featured Ajay Devgn’s nephew and Rasha.
For the very first time, she admitted to experiencing sadness, also mentioning that both Aaman and Rasha are celebrities’ children, which significantly impacted the situation.
Siddharth Nigam joined the conversation, stating that placing blame serves no purpose in the film industry as such choices are an inherent aspect. He admitted that while it was disheartening, it provided clarification. After harboring hope for almost a year, watching the teaser marked the acceptance phase for him – a subtle understanding that it was time to relinquish and progress.
Under the direction of Abhishek Kapoor and production by Ronnie Screwvala alongside Pragya Kapoor, the film titled “Azaad” stars Ajay Devgn, Diana Penty, Aaman Devgan, and Rasha Thadani.
