54-year-old actor Saif Ali Khan was wounded in an early morning knife attack at his Mumbai residence on Thursday. The assailant struck around 2:30 am in Saif’s Bandra home, leading to him being rushed to Lilavati Hospital for surgery. This incident bears resemblance to a 2011 event involving Saif’s sister, Soha Ali Khan, who experienced a similar alarming situation at her apartment.
In February 2011, while Kunal Kemmu and Soha Ali Khan were in a relationship, they had a scary encounter as a burglary attempt took place at Soha’s apartment in Khar. Following a movie screening of one of Kunal’s upcoming films, the couple returned to their first-floor residence.
After a peaceful meal and chat, they were startled by an uncommon sound coming from the balcony. Without delay, Kunal rushed over to check it out and was taken aback when he discovered a burglar trying to enter their residence.
In a frantic instance, the burglar attempted to flee by descending from the first-floor balcony, yet he slipped and tumbled down. Taking advantage of the situation, Kunal swiftly made his way downstairs and successfully detained the thief before he could slip away.
Preliminary findings indicate that the suspect was no stranger to illegal activities, with ties to as many as ten past incidents of home break-ins.
A confidant of the couple shared their evening events with Mid-Day, mentioning that Kunal and Soha had come back from a movie showing and were enjoying dinner when they heard a sound. The friend continued by saying that upon investigation by Kunal, he spotted the burglar attempting to flee. In his panic, the thief misstepped and fell, allowing Kunal to apprehend him.
In a recent turn of events concerning Saif Ali Khan’s case, the prime suspect has been arrested by the Mumbai Police and admitted to having inflicted the stab wounds on the actor during the occurrence.
It was reported that the defendant appeared in court to extend their detention by the police. Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan, accompanied by her children Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan, made a visit to Lilavati Hospital for a meeting with Saif, all under tight security arrangements.
