As a long-time fan of the hilarious and heartwarming series Ghosts, I must say that Season 4 has certainly started off with a bang (or should I say a disappearance?). The quick resolution of Isaac’s mystery was both satisfying and amusing, as it allowed us to delve deeper into the enigma that is Pete’s ghostly powers.
Warning: Spoilers for the first episode of Ghosts’ fourth season are coming up. If you prefer to avoid these spooky spoilers, consider watching new episodes of this CBS sitcom the day after they air by subscribing to Paramount+.
As we get closer to the debut of “Ghosts” on the 2024 TV lineup, I found myself mulling over two intriguing storylines: Isaac’s vanishing act into the soil and the enigmatic side-effect of Pete’s ghostly abilities, which seemingly make his body parts disappear. Fortunately, the riddle surrounding Brandon Scott Jones’ character’s abduction was promptly unraveled, as promised. Now, let’s delve into the puzzle: What in the world causes Pete’s physical form to vanish at times?
Isaac’s Mystery Was Quickly Solved
Among the pressing issues heading into Ghosts Season 4, the enigma surrounding Isaac takes priority. By the finale of Season 3, following his split with Nigel, Isaac was abducted by Patience, a spirit they had deserted in the ground centuries earlier.
Mary Holland debuted as Paitence in the latest episode of CBS’s sitcom, where she brought a lot of laughter by teasing the soldier and even Sas mercilessly. However, things got out of hand until other ghosts intervened and rescued both of them. In the end, all spirits returned home, Isaac apologized for leaving Paitence behind, and he escorted her back to the manor with the others.
Now that Isaac has returned home and Patience is also there, I’m sitting here pondering deeply about the potential outcomes of yet another enigma presented by the series.
Now We Need To Focus On Pete’s Ghost Power And Its Problems
It’s surprising that Pete’s vanishing body parts weren’t addressed at all in this episode, and I was quite taken aback by it. Additionally, his frequent boasting about being able to leave the premises when the other spirits cannot, added to my confusion.
Watching Richie Moriarty’s character wield his powers so carelessly was entertaining, let me clarify. Yet, I can’t forget that upon his return from the trip, he was mysteriously lacking certain physical parts, a detail that still lingers in my memory.
Was he gradually losing himself because he was experiencing tranquility upon reuniting with his family? Could his spectral essence malfunction when he stays away from home for extended periods? What causes specific body parts to vanish initially? These are queries that demand swift resolution as soon as possible.
Just like when Isaac vanished, this issue affects us all since we’re all keen on assisting our buddy. Unfortunately, it seems to be hindering Pete’s spectral abilities, potentially causing complications further down the gaming line. Frankly, I’d love for them to crack this case as swiftly as they unearthed that soldier trapped in the dirt.
Absolutely, there are other puzzles to unravel during this season as well. For instance, we’re aware that Jay will eventually be able to see spirits, and I’m curious to find out why. Additionally, it’s plausible we might discover the circumstances surrounding Sas’ death. Nevertheless, these aren’t our immediate focus; Pete is, and I urgently need to delve deeper into his ghostly abilities!
To discover if we uncover additional details about Pete’s powers and missing body parts in Season 4 of Ghosts, tune in to fresh episodes every Thursday at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time on CBS, or catch them the following day on Paramount+ for streaming.
