To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the anime “Samurai Champloo”, a special, collectible vinyl LP box set for Nujabes’ soundtrack has been unveiled.
This 7-inch collection comes with six vinyl records, each one embellished with images of characters from a popular anime series. Fans can enjoy listening to the theme song and various tracks by the late artist who produced music for Samurai Champloo, along with special merchandise that recreates iconic moments from the show’s opening credits. The box set’s design also includes new illustrations made especially for the anime’s 20th anniversary celebration.
Initially broadcast from January to September in the year 2004, Samurai Champloo chronicles the adventures of three main characters – Fuu, a tea server, Mugen, a rogue, and Jin, a former ronin. The esteemed Shinichirō Watanabe, also known for Cowboy Bebop, took charge as the director, while Nujabes, Shinji “Tsutchie” Tsuchida, Fat Jon, and Force of Nature collaborated on the show’s soundtrack.
