In other words, you may need to put in some effort by downloading different AppStores or APKs, or you could just play the games directly in your browser. We’ll always provide details for each game about this option. Continue reading to discover a fresh game or an off-the-beaten-path experience!
In the course of life, there are only a few instances that cause you to doubt everything around you… This situation is not one of those, yet I managed to pique your interest, didn’t I? The sheer amount of hard work and dedication required to create something enjoyable, complex, and visually appealing cannot be accurately quantified. Given the multitude of designers, writers, and artists out there, it’s no surprise that we’re finding more hidden gems than normal these days. This week’s output from the independent development scene is Aestheta by Aplove Studio. These developers had a concept for cards, strategy, and a roguish appeal, and they blended them into a delicious concoction.
In the fictional universe of Aestheta, I imagine the most extraordinary events take place, yet it’s important to establish a basic storyline. There exists a tower in an unidentified galaxy, located far from our own, standing on a moon. Every few decades, a star collides with this tower, a common occurrence. Legend has it that this star can grant wishes, leading all realms, groups, and collections of creatures to vie for the top, aiming to claim their wish first.
In this game, I find myself commanding one of three distinct groups: Cowboys, Demons, or Knights. Each faction has unique units and abilities, represented by cards in their specific decks. My journey ascends a towering structure, where I decide which conflicts to engage, what riches to claim, and which cards to relinquish for strategic advantage. The objective of each skirmish is to demolish the adversary’s tower by accumulating energy and deploying troops to overwhelm their target. The more victorious I am, the more stars I earn, allowing me to enhance my cards. It’s a lengthy climb if you aim to deal and prevail!
As a gamer, let me tell you, Aestheta is just like the towering structure it represents – sturdy, standing tall, and unyielding. The three vibrant teams it offers are as distinct as the colors on a rainbow, while the graphics are endearing and delightful to the eye. Balancing challenge (as only roguelikes can), it also manages to inject a touch of humor into its narrative. It’s designed perfectly for portable gaming, with battles short enough to avoid wasting time but intense enough to keep me engrossed in every move I make. If only there was a way to play Aestheta right now… oh wait, there is!
You can download and play Aestheta from its itch.io page!
