- Gameforge’s OGame is set to celebrate its 22nd anniversary with a major update
- Personalised profiles, achievements and more are hitting the game
- Cross-server recognition for these are also included
As a seasoned space conqueror with countless galaxies under my belt, I must say that Gameforge’s OGame’s 22nd anniversary update is a testament to its enduring appeal and longevity. The Profile & Achievements update is a welcome addition, allowing me to further customize my intergalactic empire and compete with fellow commanders on a global scale.
In 2022, OGame made its debut on mobile devices, and now, with over two decades behind it, this classic MMO game is gearing up for a grand 22nd anniversary in an upcoming update. Gameforge’s long-standing flagship transports players into a universe of strategic battles, where the goal is to dominate a dynamic galaxy. This endeavor can be either solo or collaborative, as players are pitted against or supported by a vast player community.
As a gamer diving into the latest Profile & Achievements upgrade in OGame, I can tell you it’s all about customizing my unique space journey! Now, I get to create a personalized profile that lets other interstellar explorers know who they’re dealing with. Plus, there are achievements up for grabs, not just for the grand game, but also for each seasonal conquest! And let’s not forget the thrill of climbing up the global leaderboard and proving my galactic dominance!
The most appealing aspect? Regardless of which server you’re on, all your accomplishments and cosmetic prizes are acknowledged, allowing you to take your advancement along with you as you move from one location to another, and flaunt your veteran status in any fight you join.
To war
While the new update is definitely quite interesting, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s somewhat disappointing for some given it’s purely based on cosmetics and achievements. But at the same time the 22nd anniversary, although impressive is not quite the milestone something like a quarter-century would be. The decision to recognise achievements and other profile activity cross-server I’m sure might get a mixed reaction given it doesn’t let you wholly start over, but I’m sure there’ll equally be a decidedly excited group of players too.
