Well, gather ‘round, fellow crypto enthusiasts! It seems XRP has decided to take a dive below the all-important $2 mark. Yes, you read that correctly! On Wednesday, it plunged faster than my resolve to eat healthy after seeing a chocolate cake. 🍰

Down it went to a shocking $1.98 on Binance—”Who’s buying that?” one could only ask. Then, like a rubber ducky in a hurricane, it bobbed back up to a wildly optimistic $2.07. 🦆

Over the past 24 hours, investors have waved goodbye to a whopping $20.33 million in XRP. Ouch! That’s enough to buy several rounds of drinks for friends who like to pretend they understand crypto (spoiler: they don’t). Long positions are falling like they were played by actors in a badly scripted drama, accounting for around 63% of this price wipeout.

Meanwhile, the general market is playing a ghastly game of “hot potato” with investor confidence, thanks to global tariff tensions. E-mini Nasdaq-100 futures are dropping like my hopes of ever finding matching socks, plunging over 3% and dragging crypto down with them. Not ideal, as they say!

But bless its heart, XRP is trying to stay relevant amid such despair. Just last month, the illustrious trader John Bollinger suggested XRP might be the new market darling thanks to its incredible resilience. Where’s that award ceremony for crypto? 🎖️

Declining Profitability: Have We Forgotten Our Wallets?

The numbers from Glassnode are in, and let’s just say they don’t look great. XRP has had one of the fastest descents in profit share—with only about 5% of its total supply still in the green. Dogecoin is ahead by keeping its nose just above water at almost 10%—that dog knows how to swim! 🐶

In the fourth quarter of 2024, XRP had a fabulous rally, worthy of a reality show. But alas, the thrill slipped away in early 2025, like my patience during a long Netflix binge, as broader market uncertainties and dwindling retail interest took their toll.
