The possible absence of Brendan Dunster from Season 4 of Ted Lasso might be due to scheduling issues and his involvement in various television roles. He’s currently involved in Prime Video’s supernatural thriller, The Devil’s Hour, where he plays Mike Stevens, the estranged husband of the main character. Additionally, he’s managing commitments for Apple TV+’s tech drama, Surface. This series, known for its engaging writing, is set in the competitive world of Silicon Valley. Dunster is slated to appear in Season 2 as a character named Quinn.
Cast Members Confirmed To Return For Ted Lasso Season 4
To explain why Ted Lasso was renewed for another season, let’s take a step back in history. The show’s co-creator and main actor, Jason Sudeikis, had always planned a three-season narrative. He wanted to conclude the story of an American football coach adapting to the English Premier League on a heartfelt note, which is why by the end of Season 3, Ted Lasso is shown returning home to teach soccer to his son in Kansas. Here, he appears content, relieved, and complete.
Although Sudeikis only partially closed the door on Season 3, it didn’t officially conclude the series. Recently, rumors about the actors’ futures have sparked, and now it seems that the studio’s choice to continue the show beyond its initial plans becomes more clear.
As reported by Deadline, a number of main actors are set to reprise their characters in Season 4 of the series Ted Lasso. Among them are Hannah Waddingham, portraying Rebecca Welton, Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent, and Jeremy Swift in the role of Leslie Higgins. The production team has not yet extended offers to cast members such as Juno Temple (Keeley), Jason Sudeikis, and Brendan Hunt (Coach Brent) who are under SAG-AFTRA contracts.
