As a lifelong art enthusiast who’s had the privilege of traversing countless galleries and museums across the globe, I must say, I’m thoroughly captivated by the Studio Hirshhorn video series. The behind-the-scenes glimpse into the creative process of Brazilian artists OSGEMEOS is an absolute treat. Their fusion of music, graffiti, and cosmic themes resonates deeply with my soul, reminding me of the vibrant street art scene I once immersed myself in during my backpacking days through South America.

The Hirshhorn Museum, part of the Smithsonian institution, has introduced “Studio Hirshhorn,” a video series providing an exclusive peek into the creation process of exhibitions. The inaugural series showcases artists OSGEMEOS from Brazil as they work towards ‘Endless Story,’ their most extensive U.S. exhibition, set to debut on September 29.

9 brief clips offer a glimpse into OSGEMEOS’s São Paulo workshop, highlighting essential elements of their artistry such as music, graffiti, and celestial motifs. These clips will be incorporated into the exhibition and dispersed across the museum’s social media platforms. Melissa Chiu, the Hirshhorn Museum Director, comments that this series intends to unveil the typically concealed steps involved in exhibition preparation and development. This project continues the institution’s commitment to public interaction, following on from projects like the “Artists in Quarantine” series.

‘Marina Isgro has put together an exhibition titled ‘Endless Story’, which includes a book published by Rizzoli. This event is backed by The Andy Warhol Foundation and the National Museum of the American Latino.’
