O’Shea Jackson Jr. Joins the BOO Brigade Against Hulk Hogan at WWE Raw!

In a nutshell, the realm of WWE has consistently been the centerstage for heated debates and unforgettable incidents that garner widespread interest. On January 6th, WWE’s popular Monday Night Raw series premiered on Netflix, with its first episode unfolding at the Intuit Arena in Los Angeles. This grand event showcased a roster of seasoned wrestlers such as The Rock, The Undertaker, and the somewhat contentious Hulk Hogan, while Travis Scott lent his talents to the new theme song. Notable attendees included O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Eric Andre during this groundbreaking debut.

1. During Hulk Hogan’s performance, there was a moment when he took a break to advertise his brewery, which promptly drew loud boos from the audience. It turns out that O’Shea Jackson Jr., during his Monday appearance on “Sway’s Universe” video podcast, admitted to being one of those who booed Hogan.

2. During Hulk Hogan’s performance, when he stopped to endorse his beer company, the crowd loudly booed him. It was revealed on Monday during O’Shea Jackson Jr.’s appearance on “Sway’s Universe” video podcast that he was among those who booed Hogan.

Originally, I was part of the group. Let me share the video with you. In it, Eric Andre, Wale, and myself were really laying into him about the racial injustice. It’s tough to forget how thorough that rant was. If you search for his rant online, you’ll see it’s quite comprehensive. There are many people on the internet who say, “He would be angry if he knew about that entire generation!” Yes, he might be angry too. But as of now, bringing him out here? I guess you expected something different to happen.

From Being Great to Getting Hate

Known by his nickname Hulk Hogan, Terry Gene Bollea was once a dominant figure in the annals of wrestling. His career flourished when he clinched the title of a five-time World Wrestling Federation (WWF) Champion, during the 1980s wrestling craze. He even starred in eight out of the first nine WrestleMania events and was the first wrestler to win consecutive Royal Rumble matches in 1990 and 1991. However, his image suffered a significant blow in 2015 when a leaked sex tape exposed Hogan using derogatory racial slurs on multiple occasions. Consequently, he faced temporary suspension from the WWE and was withdrawn from the WWE Hall of Fame.

Hogan’s downfall was a well-known incident, and though he attempted to explain that he used a derogatory term because it was common in his upbringing, many were still displeased. After issuing a public apology and admitting his mistakes, Hogan was reinstated into the Hall of Fame in 2018; however, the incident significantly impacted his career. While some people are ready to put it behind them, others like O’Shea Jackson Jr., find it challenging to overlook Hogan’s past actions. In the future, Jackson is garnering positive reviews for his role as Donnie Wilson in the movie “Den of Thieves 2: Pantera,” alongside Gerard Butler as Sheriff Nick O’Brien.
