Notably, they are recognized as the creators of the “Rabbit” padlock, with their products featuring a rabbit motif, the letter ‘R’, or an illustrated rabbit. These widely distributed and economical locks not only adorn many homes today but also symbolize a period when inexpensive, mass-produced metal goods significantly contributed to Hong Kong’s industrial growth.
In cultural history, the Rabbit padlock became well-known when Sid Vicious from the Sex Pistols wore it as a necklace, keeping the key inside.
