As a long-time connoisseur of streetwear and a dedicated follower of Shinsuke Takizawa’s NEIGHBORHOOD, I can confidently say that the upcoming NEIGHBORHOOD x OTW by Vans Old Skool 36 collaboration is a must-have addition to any discerning sneakerhead’s collection.
Product: Neighborhood x Vans Old Skool 36
For the Fall/Winter 2024 season, Shinsuke Takizawa’s NEIGHBORHOOD continues to be active, collaborating with numerous brands. Notably, they have footwear ventures with SUICOKE and Dr. Martens. This week, they are reuniting with Vans for another sneaker collaboration. Interestingly, this time, the Japanese label is being selected by Vans’ new OTW (Off The Wall) division.
Recently, I was thrilled to see the duo tackle the Sk8-Mid 83 DX, but they’re now back with a classic – the Old Skool 36, which starred in their FW22 campaign. They’ve crafted two monochromatic colorways, “Natural” and “Black”, both brimming with familiar NEIGHBORHOOD emblems. The phrase “Craft With Pride” is embossed on either side of the midsole, complementing the label’s wordmark at the heel. The OTW branding appears on the heel tab and is joined by the NEIGHBORHOOD wordmark at the insole. The finishing touch is the toe area, where “FILTH” and “FURY” are prominently displayed on the right and left shoes respectively.
If you’re intrigued by the color options of the NEIGHBORHOOD x OTW collaboration on Vans Old Skool 36 shoes, they will be available for purchase from NEIGHBORHOOD starting December 19 at 10pm EST. Each pair will cost $169 USD.
