- Ouros, the handcrafted puzzle game, is out now on iOS and Android
- It features over 120 handcrafted puzzles
- Solve complex, but elegant, brain teasers using mathematics called splines
As a puzzle enthusiast with a penchant for mathematical challenges and a soft spot for rhythm games, Ouros has certainly piqued my interest! With over 120 handcrafted puzzles to solve using intricate math known as splines, it’s like stepping into a complex, yet elegant, brain-teasing labyrinth.
The game called Ouros, featuring 120 distinct brain teasers and handcrafted for your enjoyment, is now available on both iOS and Android devices. You might remember our earlier coverage when pre-orders started in July, but now it’s finally here to be played! This means you can dive into what appears to be one of the most intriguing, albeit perplexing, puzzle games I’ve had the pleasure of discussing so far.
Ouros is a visually stunning yet intricate puzzle game I’ve come across, featuring shifting and moving patterns that require precise timing to hit notes, making it somewhat similar to a rhythm game. However, this simple description doesn’t fully capture the complexity of the game, as there are advanced mathematical concepts like splines involved in its mechanics.
Appears complex at first glance, but upon closer look, it’s surprisingly simple and harmonious. The trailer provides an impressive demonstration, and it’s accompanied by a soothing ambient soundtrack designed to create a tranquil, trippy atmosphere.
Round, and round we go
We’ve been eagerly awaiting Ouros, and now that it’s finally arrived on mobile devices, we’re pleasantly surprised! This game created a big impact on Steam, but we believe it will attract a completely new group of players on smartphones.
While I eagerly await the next exciting installment, I’d be happy to share some fantastic games that are currently captivating players like me. Conveniently, we’ve compiled a list of this year’s standout mobile games (so far in 2024), showcasing some of our personal favorites from the past eight months. Enjoy exploring these top-notch titles!
If you find that ranking insufficient, you’ll be pleased to hear that 2024 is still full of surprises regarding new releases. In case you’re not convinced, take a look at our list of highly anticipated mobile games set to launch this year for more information!
