It’s truly disheartening to learn that Hathoda Tyagi won’t feature in Paatal Lok 2. I had hoped for another chance to portray that character. Unfortunately, my luck hasn’t been on my side in this regard. Even in Mirzapur, my character met an untimely end. Fortunately, a Mirzapur film is forthcoming. If ever Paatal Lok is adapted into a movie, perhaps Hathoda Tyagi will reappear, he suggested.
Just recently, the trailer for Paatal Lok Season 2 surfaced on various social media outlets. Running for approximately 2 minutes and 42 seconds, it features Jaideep Ahlawat reprising his role as Hathi Ram Chaudhary, who is seen engaged in a confrontation. The plot thickens as the Delhi Police team is depicted traveling to Nagaland to tackle a fresh case, which seems like uncharted territory for them.
Under the guidance of director Avinash Arun Dhaware, this upcoming production brings together Ishwak Singh, Tillotama Shome, and Gul Panag in significant roles. Co-produced by Clean Slate Filmz and Eunoia Films, the crime thriller is masterminded by Sudip Sharma, who has penned, created, and taken on an executive producer role. This gripping story will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting January 17, 2025.
