‘Deceptively Hard To Capture’: Tim Allen’s Been A Sitcom Legend For Years, But Working With The Actor Is Harder Than It Looks

In a new setup, Tim Allen finds himself locking horns with another television comedy veteran, Kat Dennings from “Two Broke Girls.” She takes on the role of Allen’s estranged daughter who is seeking to reconcile with her father and provide support for his grandkids, as they aim to rebuild their family. Similar to Allen’s past productions that intertwine business and familial bonds, this series finds him not only mending relationships but also fixing cars – a hobby shared with his character. Disney, Warner Bros. & Fox Cancel Venu Sports Streaming Service

Initially, I was eagerly anticipating the launch of Venu, a streaming service that promised unparalleled access to live sports channels and games. It looked set to become a hub for sports enthusiasts like me, offering a diverse range of channels such as ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNEWS, ABC, Fox, FS1, FS2, BTN, TNT, TBS, truTV, and ESPN+. From basketball to football, Venu aimed to be the go-to platform for fans seeking a hassle-free way to watch their beloved sports teams.

However, in this era of intricate streaming licensing agreements and cable channel rights, Venu seemed too good to be true. Regrettably, after much consideration, the companies behind Venu have chosen to abandon their project and focus on their existing streaming services instead. As per a joint statement reported by IndieWire, it appears that our dreams of having Venu as our sports streaming home may not come to fruition after all.
