This movie, helmed by Taylor Hackford (known for movies like “The Devil’s Advocate”, “Ray”, and “An Officer and a Gentleman”), is a 1995 crime thriller that originated from Stephen King’s 1992 novel of the same title. The screenplay for this big-screen adaptation was penned by Tony Gilroy.

The acting prowess of Glen Powell will carry over to his new character, Chad Powers, although fans might be taken aback by his altered appearance. With the double releases of “Hit Man” on Netflix and “Twisters” in cinemas this summer 2024, coupled with the early-year success of “Anyone but You”, it seems fitting to label the season as the Summer of Glen Powell. His current status as a star is unparalleled, and his upcoming project is the Hulu television show “Chad Powers”, which he produces, co-creates, and co-writes alongside Michael Waldron.

The much-awaited animated film, “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim” produced by Warner Bros., has unveiled its official trailer. Set to debut on December 13th, this anime movie serves as a prelude to Peter Jackson’s legendary live-action trilogy. The trailer cleverly interweaves clips from the original films with the new animation style before fully diving into the narrative of “The War of the Rohirrim,” primarily focusing on events in Rohan that occur approximately two centuries prior to the events depicted in “The Lord of the Rings.” Éowyn, played by Miranda Otto, returns for this film and provides the narration. The trailer showcases grand battles, intense duels, and significant palace politics.
