‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Casts Original Stars, ‘New Blood’ Favorite in Sequel Series

As reported by Deadline, actors David Zayas, Jack Alcott, and James Remar have agreed to join the cast of “Resurrection.” This upcoming series will continue where “New Blood” ends and “Original Sin” begins, with Dexter being critically injured by his son Harrison and rushed to the hospital in an attempt to revive him after a supposedly fatal gunshot wound. In the original series, Zayas played Detective Angel Batista, while Remar portrayed Dexter’s father, Harry Morgan. Alcott assumed the role of Harrison in “New Blood,” and was last seen fleeing after shooting his father.
