John Williams’ timeless melody from the 1978 film “Superman,” directed by Richard Donner, could be my top pick among his impressive works. This is quite a statement considering his other masterpieces like those from “Jaws,” “E.T.,” “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” “Jurassic Park,” and the Harry Potter series. Even Jude Law, who starred with Williams in “Skeleton Crew,” found it challenging to choose a favorite. However, the inspiring theme for Superman manages to rise above the rest for me. And James Gunn, director of the upcoming “Superman” film in 2025, concurs.

The Star Wars franchise has consistently spared no expense to ensure their films and television shows are visually stunning. This is evident in the latest disclosure that the current project for the space opera series now ranks among the costliest, boasting a total budget of $645 million spread across two seasons, with an impressive $290.9 million earmarked for Season 2 alone.

It’s been speculated for some time that Aaron Taylor-Johnson, known for movies like “Kick-Ass” and “Bullet Train,” has been in the running for the role of James Bond. With “Kraven the Hunter,” he was the front runner to replace Daniel Craig after “No Time to Die” in 2021. However, the less than successful performance of his Sony and Marvel project might have affected his chances. Yet, a new favorite has stepped up, and if given the opportunity, Aaron Taylor-Johnson could be exceptional for the role.
