This is actually the third version of the project that’s currently being developed by director Robert Rodriguez, known for his work on “Spy Kids”, and co-writers Rebecca Rodriguez and John Hlavin.

Samara Weaving, who portrayed Grace in the 2019 horror movie “Ready or Not,” expresses excitement about reprising her role should a sequel materialize. Discussions about a second installment have gained momentum since April, when directors Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin (collectively known as Radio Silence) announced that a script was in existence. The filmmakers described the script as “an amazing sequel” and shared their enthusiasm for the possibility of another film, stating there is “a lot more story to tell.” Naturally, this story would involve Grace, the movie’s final girl who miraculously survived a harrowing night at her in-laws. Weaving herself is fully committed to returning for a sequel.
