As a long-time admirer of both Palace and Carhartt WIP, I must admit that this final collaboration for Holiday 2024 has me absolutely thrilled! With my years spent braving the cold winters, I can’t help but appreciate the practicality and durability these brands are known for. The focus on winter essentials like heavy-duty jackets and workwear pants is a testament to their understanding of what we need to stay warm and stylish during these chilly months.
For this coming holiday season in 2024, the British skatewear label Palace is teaming up once more with Carhartt WIP for their final collaboration of the year. This year’s collection, consisting of 13 unique pieces, continues their partnership from the previous year and marks a fitting end to their collaborative efforts.
As the season draws to a close, Palace reveals a line focused on the versatile Cordura® fabric, bursting with vivid hues and graphic designs on jersey pieces. To accommodate the approaching chill, the collection offers a variety of winter necessities such as robust utilitarian jackets, workwear pants, and mid-layers. Highlights from this assortment include the Ranger Jacket with its hooded design, reinforced with durable Cordura® material. The jacket’s quilted lining receives a pop of color, subtly enhancing its appearance. Another standout item is the classic OG Chore Coat, also made of Cordura® fabric and adorned with a joint logo on the back, boasting an all-over onion-quilted design throughout the jacket.
This collaboration also transforms some of Carhartt WIP’s classic shapes, such as the innovative Car-Lux Half Zip Sweatshirt with its high neck and kangaroo pocket, and a branded Square Label. In other pieces, hooded sweatshirts are embellished with co-branded embroidery, while vintage Palace graphic designs adorn a series of t-shirts. To complete the collection for the Holiday 2024 collaboration, there are accessories like the Payton Tote Bag, Duty Glove, knitted Storm Mask, and Austin Trucker Cap.
The initial release of the Carhartt WIP collaboration with Palace and DSM will occur in the UK, EU on December 27 at 12pm Central European Time (CET) through both Palace and DSM platforms. In the United States, it will be released later that same day at 11am Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). The Los Angeles store and DSM LA will host their drops at 11am Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). On December 28, Japan and South Korea will have their drop at 11am Japan Standard Time (JST), while China’s WeChat release will take place an hour later at 11am China Standard Time (CST) on the same day.
