Pamela Anderson Says ‘The Last Showgirl’ Success Is “the Best Payback” Following “Strange” ‘Pam & Tommy’ Series

Pamela Anderson is openly expressing her delight at the positive reception of her recent movie, “The Last Showgirl,” following the Hulu series “Pam & Tommy” that came out about three years back, which she claims was produced without her involvement.

More recently, Anderson appeared on Andy Cohen’s Sirius XM show, ‘Andy Cohen Live’, where they talked about ‘The Last Showgirl’. During the conversation, Cohen brought up ‘Pam & Tommy’. Anderson shared that she had no part in it, stating, “No one contacted me, which was really odd and quite painful.” She further added, “I believe ethically it’s wrong. But I guess you’re somewhat open to the public and have no claim to privacy.

As a gamer, I was curious if anyone from Hulu had ever reached out to me to rectify any issues. However, Anderson clarified that no one has done so yet.

The show was challenging for Anderson to relive because it brought back memories of when her private video with ex-husband Tommy Lee was stolen. She had expressed her discomfort about the series earlier to The Hollywood Reporter. “I pushed that experience out of my life,” she said. “I needed to do so in order to carry on, truly. It was a coping mechanism.” Now that these memories are resurfacing, she feels ill from her entire midriff – from the center of her chest down to her stomach. Her stomach currently feels like it’s been struck.

In addition, “The Last Showgirl” has been lauded by critics and has garnered nominations for awards such as Gotham, Golden Globe, and SAG Awards, recognition for her performance in the movie.

According to THR’s leading film critic, David Rooney, Anderson’s performance is undeniably impactful and provides enlightening perspectives on both the character and the actress portraying her. This role seems poised to be a significant milestone for the actress as she has faced challenges being taken seriously in the past.

Following some thought, Anderson concludes that it’s simply an unavoidable event, and now he’s in a position where his best repayment comes from being acknowledged for his work rather than any scandals.

The Last Showgirl is currently in theaters.
