Paramount+ Acquires ‘The Children of October 7’ Documentary

Paramount+ acquired the documentary titled “The Children of October 7“, where Montana Tucker interviews Israeli kids who were personally affected by the Hamas assaults in southern Israel that occurred on October 7, 2023.

The movie is set to debut on April 23 via the studio’s flagship streaming service, and will later air on MTV as a linear TV broadcast. A separate documentary titled “We Will Dance Again” was previously released by Paramount+ on October 7, 2024.

Shari Redstone, head of Paramount Global, made a statement expressing their ongoing dedication to disseminating content that enlightens and educates. This documentary serves as a striking illustration of the terror inflicted on October 7 and the lasting effects it had on thousands of children who will carry the scars from that day forward. Montana Tucker is producing exceptional work, and by broadcasting this documentary on Paramount + and MTV, we can make it accessible to viewers across the nation.

The Children of October 7 is directed by Asaf Becker and produced by Kastina Communications.

The film focuses on Israeli children sharing their experiences of being taken prisoner, observing their parents’ deaths, and having their homes violated by Hamas extremists, which significantly disrupted their lives. The Israeli-Gaza conflict that has persisted since October 7, 2023, was ignited by Israel’s reaction to the terrorist attacks that occurred on that day.

One of the most significant endeavors I’ve been involved with is ‘The Children of October 7.’ Being the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors, listening to these kids recount the atrocities they experienced – the loss of their families, homes, and childhood in a tragic instant – resonated profoundly. I’m deeply appreciative that they confided in me with their stories, and that they have this medium to express their reality. Thanks to Paramount+ and MTV, the world will now witness their experiences,” said Tucker, a social media advocate, in her own words.

On the production of “The Children of October 7”, the credit is jointly held by Eytan Schwartz, Meny Aviram, Mor Tregger, Zameret Alexaneroni, Jonathan Barsade, and Rotem Alima.
