Summary

  • PBG hosts Okokume and Pol Segura’s first joint exhibition Two Voices, One Path
  • It features new works by both artists, spanning the Cosmic Girl and abstract plant forms
  • The exhibition runs from July 18 to August 9, 2025

PBG Gallery is preparing to debut “Two Voices, One Path“, the first collaborative exhibition by renowned Spanish artists Okokume and Pol Segura. Set to open later this month, this show signifies a remarkable milestone in their 20-year artistic partnership, encompassing both their personal and creative journeys. This exhibition delves deeply into the theme of “sharing”, inviting spectators into a reflective environment where two unique artistic dialects not only reside but engage in a meaningful dialogue.

Globally renowned artist Okokume showcases 23 fresh pieces, exploring topics like emotion, environmental consciousness, and interconnectedness. Her lively, pop-inspired artworks reflect personal introspection, with Cosmic Girl serving as both a guide and emblem. In this exhibition, the character is depicted in more dynamic, expressive manners, offering a closer glance into the artist’s developing visual storytelling and ongoing investigation of modern societal matters.

Pol Segura’s abstract creations add a harmonious balance to the exhibition. His vibrant plant shapes bend, contort, and sway through turbulent terrains, embodying tenacity and the process of personal exploration. Inspired by artists like Willem de Kooning and Francis Bacon, Segura’s art combines organic fluidity with structured rhythm. His works provide a visually contrasting companion to Okokume’s emotional narrative, underscoring the unity that arises from differing viewpoints.

Collaboratively, the artists reimagine the gallery as a unified terrain of contrasting viewpoints. Although each artist retains their unique style, their pieces converse in a seamless exchange. The exclusive opening event is scheduled for July 17, and the exhibition will continue until August 9 at PBG.
