As a long-time fan who’s been waiting for Persona 5: Phantom X like a cat waits for its dinner, I must say, this news has me purring with excitement! While we Western fans are still twiddling our thumbs, it’s heartening to see the game moving forward in Japan.
The highly anticipated Role-Playing Game (RPG), titled Persona 5: Phantom X, has been eagerly awaited by fans for quite some duration now. As of present, no official news regarding its Western release has surfaced; however, gamers in Japan can prepare themselves for this grand title. It’s already available in China, Taiwan, and South Korea since April and is rapidly gaining popularity there. Prior to the Japanese launch, you have an opportunity to join the closed beta test to sample the game ahead of time.
As a thrilled fan, I’m excited to share that the chance to join Persona 5: Phantom X’s closed beta testing has arrived! This window for registration stays open until October 6th. Afterward, the playtest will officially commence, though specific dates haven’t been set just yet. Among Android, iOS, and PC users, a fortunate 3,000 gamers will get to experience this RPG ahead of everyone else.
If you’re unfamiliar with the game, it’s a Role-Playing Game (RPG) that incorporates social aspects. You’ll embark on an adventure in a world close to ours, interacting with various characters and engaging in battles against supernatural enemies. Given Persona 5’s success, Phantom X shares many core features. However, it also introduces gacha mechanics, a common feature in mobile games today.
In essence, although the gameplay mechanics might seem familiar, the narrative and characters are distinctly new, as the mobile version primarily draws inspiration from the original’s setting. The lead character is named Wonder, and the plot will revolve around students from Kokatsu Academy. These youngsters encounter the Metaverse, a parallel universe that bestows them with the ability to harness Personas.
