Peter Gallagher Praises Former Onscreen Son Adam Brody Amid Renaissance: “I’m Proud of Him All the Time”

As a gamer with a soft spot for nostalgia and a deep appreciation for the golden age of television, I can confidently say that Adam Brody’s comeback is nothing short of delightful. Having grown up watching him as the charming Seth Cohen on The O.C., it’s heartening to see him back in the limelight. His portrayal of Noah in Nobody Wants This has undeniably sparked a renaissance, and rightfully so.

Peter Gallagher is still in Adam Brody‘s corner.

Currently, the renowned actor, known as “The Humane,” is conversing with people about the ongoing Brody Renaissance happening online after Netflix’s launch of “Nobody Wants This.” In this series, Brody plays the captivating, “hot rabbi,” Noah.

He stated to the media on Wednesday that while he’s not a proud father figure and hasn’t watched the show, he is consistently proud of him as a friend and past TV dad. Furthermore, he’s not at all shocked by his resurgence because he is so gifted, and he’s happy to see him continuing his work.

In the TV series “The O.C.”, Gallagher and Brody played the roles of father-son duo Sandy and Seth Cohen. This marked a significant step in Brody’s career, following his popular, though short-lived, appearance on “Gilmore Girls” as Dave Rygalski, Lane Kim’s (Keiko Agena) first rocker boyfriend.

During the filming of the famous Fox series, Grey’s Anatomy, the actor remembered noticing the talent of his counterpart from Fleishman Is in Trouble. He mentioned that certain aspects have lingered with him since the show concluded in 2007 – among them, the term “Chrismukkah,” which Brody’s character Seth devised. This phrase signifies a holiday that the character invented when he wanted to celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah simultaneously.

Gallagher recently recalled his initial encounter with Chrismukkah, remarking how ingenious it sounded, ‘I believe that’s going to become commonplace,’ and indeed it has.

The Grace & Frankie actor isn’t Brody’s only former castmember singing the actor’s praises.

In another chat, Rachel Bilson (who played his character’s girlfriend and later wife in “The O.C.”) expressed appreciation for him and shared insights about the resurgence of Brody’s popularity.

She expressed that it seems as though something has always existed, yet if it’s a renaissance, it’s absolutely earned. In other words, he’s simply fantastic; he’s extraordinary.

Though I haven’t yet had the pleasure of watching “Nobody Wants This,” which has been granted another season, my enthusiasm for it is uncontainable!

Kristen [Bell] and Adam, they’re not just individuals I admire, but they feel like family to me,” she expressed about the show. “I’m genuinely thrilled about it and can’t wait for their success.

In the context of the Brody Renaissance, numerous memes have spread online, yet it’s likely that the actor from “Shazam!” hasn’t encountered them because he tends to stay disconnected from the internet, as suggested by creator Erin Foster of “Nobody Wants This”.

She shared with The Hollywood Reporter that it’s really frustrating because she wishes he could appreciate memes made about him. They even set up a fake Twitter account for him, but he declined, citing his mental health and refusal to dive into potentially harmful online spaces. She admires his decision.
