As a movie enthusiast with a penchant for edge-of-the-seat thrillers and a soft spot for shark-centric films, I can hardly contain my excitement about Tommy Wirkola’s upcoming ocean-set masterpiece, “Beneath the Storm.” Having survived countless underwater terrors at the cinema, I’m eagerly awaiting this adrenaline-pumping adventure that promises to deliver a storm of suspense.
Film director Tommy Wirkola’s upcoming summer thriller, featuring Phoebe Dynevor, is poised to create quite a wave in the ocean next year.
On Wednesday, Sony Pictures revealed that the as-yet unnamed movie has now been titled “Beneath the Storm” and is set to be released in cinemas on August 1, 2025. The storyline of this upcoming film, which revolves around sharks, remains undisclosed at this time.
Whitney Peak and Djimon Hounsou co-star in the film from producers Adam McKay and Kevin Messick.
Under the Storm will compete with The Bad Guys 2, released by Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation on August 1st. This animated sequel features a star-studded voice cast that includes Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, Awkwafina, and Zazie Beetz.
More to come.
