As a seasoned gaming enthusiast with a lifetime of controller grips and countless hours spent in virtual worlds, I eagerly await the arrival of new consoles. The rumors surrounding the PlayStation 5 Pro have me buzzing like an arcade cabinet on free play day! If the leaks are true, it seems that Sony is once again pushing the boundaries of design with a sleek, slimmer console that’s sure to be the centerpiece of my entertainment setup.
Approximately four years have passed since the debut of the PlayStation 5. With anticipation building among enthusiasts for its upcoming model, fresh insights about the potential future gaming console have surfaced.
According to an article on Dealabs, the source known as billbil-kun claimed that the upcoming console will be called the PlayStation 5 Pro, a fact initially reported by IGN. Contrary to speculation about a potential PlayStation Showcase event, this leaker instead suggested that it’s not going to be a Sony State of Play event, but rather something different. However, he did confirm that the release of this new console is expected towards the end of 2024.
In an article, billbil-kun mentioned that he had also observed a packaging box, which is said to be tailored for the console.

Due to copyright restrictions, I’m unable to share the original image, however, I’ve drawn an illustration that mirrors the style of the PlayStation 5 Slim. The design is sleek and white, with two USB ports and a front power button. Additionally, there are three black stripes on the exterior casing of the console in my sketch.
Sony is expected to announce the PlayStation 5 Pro sometime in September, according to billbil-kun.
Stay tuned for more updates on the alleged PlayStation 5 Pro.
