Pokémon Battle Revolution Finally Becomes A True Stadium Successor

As a long-time Pokémon fan who grew up with the Coliseum series and Battle Revolution on the Wii, I have to admit that the recent releases of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl left me feeling underwhelmed. The graphics and gameplay were fine, but they just didn’t live up to my expectations.

1. Pokémon Battle Revolution still looks impressive visually, with certain fight sequences outperforming some of the Nintendo Switch games in terms of quality. A dedicated fan has taken it upon themselves to modify Battle Revolution using Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, making it a stronger contender as a successor to the Coliseum series.

I, an enthusiastic gamer working on a BDSP mod, am thrilled to share that I’ve managed to incorporate some of the announcer’s lively lines into this exciting revamp. Previously, I’ve successfully added animations from Battle Revolution to these two Switch games, significantly enhancing their visual appeal.

When I composed this text, Yisuno had solely customized the Spanish announcer for Pokémon’s update as it was their native language upbringing. However, once this modification becomes accessible, fans are expected to add the English announcer and select their preferred version.

I, as a gamer, can’t give you an exact date for when the Battle Revolution/BDSP mod will be ready for release. Yisuno is putting in a lot of effort to ensure it’s fully-functional and playable, and they’ve already given us a sneak peek with some awesome Battle Revolution animations using BDSP models. The excitement among fans is building up, so we can expect something truly amazing once it drops.

1. Many fans found Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl disappointing remakes, even in comparison to the 3DS games. Although they’re not terrible, these games seem to have been developed on a budget and can be considered as the least impressive on Nintendo Switch. Despite this, they managed to sell well, and they play quicker than their DS counterparts, offering some compelling reasons for players to pick them up.

The Wii version of Battle Revolution had an impressive visual appeal, but fell short when compared to the depth of content in Stadium and Coliseum games. While there were excellent animation features, the solo gameplay offered little substance. However, DS users could enjoy unique Pokémon exclusives as a bonus.

Currently, there’s no announced date for the launch of Yisuno’s mod. In the meantime, Pokémon enthusiasts who are open to playing a budget version of the game can go ahead and purchase Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl on Nintendo Switch at present.
