In the fresh start of the new year, Niantic has prepared a wealth of content for fans of Pokémon Go. Before the launch of Fashion Week, the Fidough Fetch event is currently underway, inviting you on an exciting journey with your friends. Until January 7th, you can catch the newly introduced Puppy Pokémon and its evolution Dachsbun, all while completing a set of Global Challenges.
In line with its name, Fidough is set to appear across Pokémon Go within the coming days. Gather at least 50 of these creatures to transform it into Dachsbun using Candy. Furthermore, participating in Global Challenges encourages you to improve your Curveball Throw skills, with success leading to increasingly rewarding outcomes.
Progress brings greater benefits: the more you accomplish, the bigger your winnings become. Initially, you’ll earn twice as much XP for capturing Pokémon, which can increase up to four times the XP and Stardust in advanced stages. Don’t forget to claim some bonus rewards!
Besides Fidough, you’ll also come across several favorites in the wilds. These include Pokémon such as Growlithe, Voltorb, Snubbull, Electrike, Lillipup, and Poochyena. You may even stumble upon their shiny versions with increased frequency. If you’re particularly lucky, you might spot Hisuian Growlithe and Greavard.
If you’re feeling exhausted from chasing Pokémon all over, then participating in event-based Field Research tasks could be a great method to gather rewards. You’ll receive items such as Stardust and Poké Balls, along with encounters featuring themed Pokémon.
