- The Pokémon Go Fest 2025: Max Finale will take place on August 23rd and 24th
- It will mark the global debut of Eternatus
- There’s also a free Timed Research you can snag to encounter a Gigantamax Galarian starter
Earlier today, Iwan shared that Rookidee would be part of August’s Community Day. Now, we have some more exciting news – even bigger than before! On August 23rd and 24th, the long-awaited Pokémon Go Fest 2025: Max Finale is scheduled to occur.
In a moment, I’ll explain its significance, but let me start by discussing the main attraction of this occasion: Legendary Pokémon Eternatus from Pokémon Sword and Shield will make its global debut for the first time, allowing everyone an opportunity to incorporate this colossal creature into their collection.
In no time at all, let’s move on to the main topic. On August 23rd and 24th, an exciting sequence of Gigantamax Pokémon will successively appear, offering one of the toughest challenges in Pokémon Go so far. Among the Gigantamax variants that will show up in Max Raids, you can anticipate seeing Toxtricity, Butterfree, Snorlax, Gengar, and Lapras.
This version maintains the original’s meaning while making it easier to read and understand by using more conversational language and simplifying some of the sentence structures.
They’re kind of a big deal
There’s also a
Pokémon Go Promo code
available for everyone, too. By entering GOFESTMAX before August 3rd, you can unlock a Time Research that culminates in an encounter with one of three Gigantamax Pokémon, and you can decide which! Your options are Cinderace, Rillaboom, and Inteleon. Of course, that actually means there’s an illusion of choice because you’re picking Rillaboom, right? Just be sure to complete it before August 24th or you’ll miss out.
This year has been quite favorable for Pokémon Go, with Niantic keeping their word by encouraging people to get out and explore. Our very own Jupiter Hadley has frequently participated in real-life events like the Road Trip, City Safari Milan, and Go: Fest Paris. If you’ve ever pondered joining such adventures, be sure to read her insights!
Right now, you can find Pokémon Go on both the App Store and Google Play, offering a free-to-play experience with additional in-app options. To download this game on your chosen platform, simply click the buttons provided below.
