Over the past few weeks, nearly all details about the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 have been revealed online. Interestingly, Nintendo appears to be tolerating these leaks rather than taking action against them. Instead of issuing takedown notices or cease-and-desist orders to the leak sources, a gaming accessories manufacturer named Genki showcased the new Nintendo Switch 2 at CES 2025.
In case you thought there were no more surprises left, the release date for Pokemon Legends: Z-A seems to have slipped out unintentionally through an online product listing on Amazon.
Yes, you read that right. Pokemon Legends: Z-A.
Initially, Amazon had listed the game’s release date incorrectly as December 31, 2025. However, they swiftly corrected this error and updated the game’s listing to reflect its actual release date of December 31, 2025, as shown in a post by @pory_leeks on X. The post included an image of the original Amazon listing that also indicated the game was expected to launch on August 15, 2025.
There hasn’t been any recent news regarding the game, but since Nintendo has already announced its release for this year, it won’t be long until they formally announce some updates on the game. With the initial listing now public, we’re merely weeks away from an official announcement.
Although August 15, 2025 might appear to be an overly precise date, some enthusiasts believe it’s merely a temporary placeholder for the online product launch. However, observant fans suspect that the date could actually represent the release day, as Amazon has updated the date once more to December 31, 2025.
A supporter made an observation that given the pattern of the last two primary games being launched in November, it seems plausible that the next release could also be scheduled for November. As Pokemon Legends: Arceus came out on January 28, 2022, and following the release pattern of previous spin-offs, one might expect a formal announcement from Nintendo by now.
Yet, despite numerous leaks about the Switch 2, Nintendo appears to be remaining silent on the matter, possibly searching for the ideal moment to reveal such a significant announcement.
Regardless if you’re planning to play Pokemon Legends: Z-A on your initial Nintendo Switch or the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, always keep yourself informed about the latest gaming updates and tales by following Gfinity Esports.
