- Wishlist feature lets you pick the cards you want to receive
- Trade Tokens have been eliminated
- It’s a Shinedust party over here
As a passionate Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket fan, I must say it feels like an eternity since the Trade feature was introduced. The journey has been arduous, filled with twists and turns, but at last, the powers that be have heeded our calls! The long-awaited Wishlist feature is finally upon us, promising to vanquish our troubles for good.
Starting July 29th, there will no longer be a need to express your trading card wishes in the air during Pokemon TCG Pocket games. Instead, you’ll have the option to create a Wishlist with up to 20 cards, viewable on the My Cards screen. Three of these desired cards will even be displayed prominently on your main profile for potential trading partners to see.
So, are you saying I might finally obtain that original Charizard ex, which has been evading me since day one? Perhaps not, but at the very least, I’ll have control over which cards other players can trade with me, rather than receiving yet another Exeggutor among my numerous ones.
Furthermore, it’s worth noting that Trade Tokens will no longer be used. Instead, a new currency called Shinedust will take their place. Unlike before, cards will not be consumed during trades. An advantageous change is that you will receive twice as much Shinedust when pulling a duplicate card from a pack.
You’re wondering how to use your Trade Tokens? Well, luckily, you can swap them for various items you might require, with a 1-to-1 exchange capping at 60 times for a Pack Hourglass. On the flip side, one Trade Token is worth ten units of Shinedust, without any limitation.
Certainly, It’s reassuring to see developers taking community feedback into account. This practice is commendable, and it comes as no surprise that Pokemon TCG Pocket has been nominated for the Pocket Gamer People’s Choice Award 2025. If you haven’t cast your vote yet, this is an excellent opportunity to show some appreciation for your preferred trading card game!
