‘Poker Face’ Recruits Katie Holmes, Kumail Nanjiani, Giancarlo Esposito and Gaby Hoffmann for Season 2

As a passionate gamer and avid fan of intriguing narratives, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming season of “Poker Face”! With Katie Holmes, Kumail Nanjiani, Giancarlo Esposito, and Gaby Hoffmann joining the cast, this murder mystery show is shaping up to be a real treat.

Poker Face just revealed a winning hand for season two.

I’m thrilled to share that some fantastic actors have joined the cast of my favorite Peacock series for its second season! Katie Holmes, Kumail Nanjiani, Giancarlo Esposito, and Gaby Hoffmann have all been announced as guest stars. While we don’t have a confirmed premiere date just yet, I can’t wait to see what they bring to the table. The first season had ten captivating episodes, and I’m eagerly anticipating more.

Natasha Lyonne stars in Rian Johnson’s murder mystery series, where she plays Charlie Cale, a Las Vegas cocktail waitress on the run from the law. In each episode, she takes a break from her hiding place to help solve weekly murder cases. With an uncanny knack for detecting lies, Charlie becomes an unlikely yet effective detective in this intriguing show.

As a huge fan, I was absolutely blown away by the impressive lineup of guest stars who graced our screens in the first season. The roster was nothing short of amazing, featuring stars like Nick Nolte, Cherry Jones, Clea DuVall, Adrien Brody, Chloë Sevigny, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jameela Jamil, Judith Light, Ellen Barkin, Lil Rel Howery, Ron Perlman, Stephanie Hsu, and Tim Meadows. Each one brought their unique talent and charisma to the show, making for an unforgettable viewing experience.

Discussions were filled with excitement over who would be brought on board when the show resumed production, according to Johnson and Lyonne in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. The prospect of casting big-name actors for brief roles was enticing, making the opportunity to portray a juicy antagonist or a lasting guest character all the more appealing, not just for the chance to act alongside Lyonne herself.

During the casting process for the first season, Lyonne recalled standing in her kitchen with Rian and creating a list of our ideal collaborators, free from any scripts. We excitedly commented, “This person would be perfect!” and “They’d bring so much to the table.” Surprisingly, many of those individuals ended up joining us, either because we admired their work or had previous experience with them, or simply harbored a long-standing desire to collaborate.

As a huge fan of crime dramas and character-driven stories, I can’t contain my excitement about the upcoming season of our favorite new detective’s adventures! I’ve been hooked ever since she first appeared on screen, evading capture in her iconic Plymouth Barracuda. Now, she’ll be hitting the road again, encountering a fresh batch of intriguing characters and bizarre crimes that only she can solve.

“Poker Face” is the initial TV show created by T-Street and Ram Bergman, in collaboration with MRC, and features Lyonne as both an executive producer and lead actor under her Animal Pictures production company.

Tony Tost assumes the position of showrunner and executive producer for season two of “Damnation” and “Americana.” Nora and Lilla Zuckerman, who previously led the team as showrunners in season one, will now serve as executive producers alongside Johnson, Bergman, Lyonne, Rodrigue, and Arkin.

In the opening month of January 2023, the initial season of this show was warmly received by critics and went on to secure four Emmy nominations, with one nod given for Light’s outstanding guest role.

I’m a big fan of Esposito, and he’s got quite the impressive team representing him. I’m in awe that he’s signed with CAA, Sugar23, Jackoway Austen Tyerman, and imPRint.
