Porsche Reveals New 473 HP Iteration of the 911 Carrera S

Porsche unveils the new version of the 911 Carrera S, placing it as an intermediate model between the regular 911 Carerra and the more powerful 911 Carrera GTS.

Inside, the revamped 3L twin-turbo six-cylinder boxer engine now outputs 353 kW (473 hp) and 390 lb-ft of torque – a significant jump of nearly 30 hp compared to its previous version. The enhanced power is thanks to reworked turbochargers and advanced cooling for the charge air. Coupled with Porsche’s PDK eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, the Carrera S accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in an impressive 3.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 191 mph.

The remarkable capabilities of control and stopping are equally evident, thanks to Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+) and a braking system inspired by the previous-generation Carrera GTS. As standard, red brake calipers grip onto substantial discs – 408 mm at the front and 380 mm at the rear. Optional enhancements include the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system and steering for the rear axle, further improving handling agility.

Within, the Carrera S harmoniously combines performance with luxury. The interior boasts top-quality black leather upholstery adorning the seats, dashboard, and door panels. Additional enhancements offer expanded leather coverage and striking Crayon contrast stitching. Modern amenities encompass Matrix LED headlights, a wireless smartphone charger, and optional Sport Chrono and height-adjustable front axle systems for an extra touch of convenience.

Ordering the latest Porsche 911 Carrera S model is now possible through Porsche-authorized dealerships and their official website. It comes in two options: Coupé and Cabriolet versions.
