Porsche Teams Up with PUMA to Celebrate 50 Years of the 911 Turbo

As a longtime enthusiast of both Porsche automobiles and sneaker culture, this collaboration between PUMA and Porsche is nothing short of a dream come true! With 12 distinct designs, each limited to just 911 units, this collection is sure to be the envy of any car or sneaker aficionado.

Porsche unveiled a significant collaboration with PUMA: a special sneaker line commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 911 Turbo. This collection boasts 12 unique styles, each one only available in 911 pairs.

Two of the models, namely “Turbo No. 1” and “Turbo 930”, pay tribute to classic Porsche vehicles by incorporating design elements that mirror their legendary characteristics. The “Turbo No. 1” sneaker, influenced by the Porsche car given to Louise Piëch on her 70th birthday, is made in metallic silver with a red and blue plaid interior, mimicking the aesthetic of the original 911 Turbo. On the other hand, the “Turbo 930” sneaker, available in Oak Green Metallic, celebrates Dr. Ferry Porsche’s 1976 Turbo, featuring a green plaid interior as well.

The two sneakers boast high-quality materials; the “Turbo No. 1” sports full-grain leather, while the “Turbo 930” uses nubuck leather. What sets these shoes apart are their unique details: dynamic turbo lettering, a 3D-printed Porsche emblem on the heel, and a special plaque celebrating the 50th anniversary, all contributing to their distinctive charm.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m super excited to share that alongside these standard models, Porsche is unveiling ten unique, market-specific editions inspired by iconic 911 Turbos from the U.S., Japan, and Germany! These limited-time gems will be available exclusively in their respective markets starting August 29, 2024. You can grab yours at Porsche’s online store or the Porsche Museum Shop, with a price tag of €169 EUR or $190 USD. Keep your eyes peeled and get ready to add one to your collection!
