After a span of fifty years, Clive Davis continues to surprise with fresh ideas during his annual pre-Grammy celebration, gathering the most prominent and illustrious figures in music.
In collaboration with The Recording Academy, the influential music figure, along with his son, attorney Doug Davis, carefully selected a unique blend of legendary artists and promising newcomers for an evening filled with unforgettable, one-of-a-kind experiences. The event commenced at The Hollywood Reporter‘s exclusive portrait studio within The Beverly Hilton, where nominees for emerging artists such as Shaboozey, Teddy Swims, Benson Boone, and Doechii shattered the idea of rivalry. “It feels like we’ve all become acquainted with each other, making it feel like it’s our senior year—almost like a graduating class,” expressed Shaboozey. “This is really exciting, and we all admire one another.

Post Malone engaged in hearty laughter with Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. Chad Smith, Metallica’s Rob Trujillo, and members of The Black Crowes reminisced about their road experiences. Jimmy Kimmel had a chat with producer Andrew Watt. And Michael Bublé expressed his awe at his good fortune. “I have never been cooler in the eyes of my children after meeting Post Malone,” said the crooner, who paid tribute to Quincy Jones that evening. “And I met my Canadian idol, Joni Mitchell.
For Grammy-winning artist Samara Joy, last night presented a surreal moment: “Being from New York, I only get to witness the dazzle of Hollywood once a year. They’re legends, and it’s truly an honor to be in their presence.
