Pro-Ject's Latest Turntable, Debut EVO 2, is Dropping in 10 Different Colors

As a connoisseur of all things vinyl, with a heart that beats rhythmically to the pulse of the turntable, I can’t help but be smitten by the Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2. Having spent countless hours immersed in the richness of vinyl grooves, I appreciate the delicate balance between aesthetics and functionality that this beauty exudes.

Project is adding to its collection of high-end, stylish turntables by launching the Debut EVO 2, a simplistic yet affordably priced record player that retains the brand’s minimalist aesthetic.

Hailing from Europe, the Debut EVO 2 is a belt-driven turntable sporting an 8.6-inch single-piece carbon tonearm in a straight design. This beauty arrives with a Danish-manufactured Pick it MM EVO cartridge already installed, which has been fine-tuned and is ready to spin tracks straight out of the box. Additionally, it boasts low-friction precision bearings for its tonearm and employs a 12-inch die-cast aluminum platter – a departure from its predecessor’s steel construction – with stainless steel and bronze bushings in the bearings; the platter tips the scales at a substantial 3.75 lbs (1.7 kg) and is outfitted with a TPE damping ring on the underside to ensure smoother playback and listening pleasure. Other features include height-adjustable metal feet for customization, as well as electronic speed control that swiftly toggles between 33rpm and 45rpm.

Established in 1991, this Austrian brand has earned recognition for crafting stylishly designed record players, and the Debut EVO 2 is no exception. It’s available in ten distinct finishes, nine of which are hand-painted in a variety of colors, with an additional option featuring a real walnut veneer on the turntable instead. Each model will also include a dust cover as standard.

You can currently purchase the Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2 from the official site as well as chosen merchants, with a price tag of $699 USD.
