Pushpa 2 EXCLUSIVE: Rajesh Khattar who dubbed for Fahadh Faasil reacts to Allu Arjun starrer's Hindi version performing better than original one; ‘Bahut badi jeet...’

As a lifestyle expert with a rich background in the entertainment industry, I must say that I find the success of Pushpa 2’s Hindi version truly remarkable. Veteran actor Rajesh Khattar, who lent his voice to Fahadh Faasil’s character in the Hindi adaptation, has provided some fascinating insights into this phenomenon.

Initially released in Telugu as Pushpa 2, the Hindi adaptation of the film has surpassed the original version in box office earnings. Recently, veteran actor Rajesh Khattar, who provided the voice for Fahadh Faasil‘s character, shared his thoughts on its success with us in an exclusive interview.

When asked about the credit for the success of Pushpa 2’s Hindi version, Rajesh Khattar described it as a collaborative effort. He noted that Fahadh Faasil is acting in the film and plays a significant role, but he contributes by dubbing it into Hindi to reach a wider audience. He also stated, “And I believe that the recognition of his (Fahad) work contributes to my involvement as well.

The performer who played in Don emphasized that their primary goal is to continually improve upon and build upon the existing work of artists. If that isn’t feasible, then at least the exceptional work produced by artists should be made accessible to the public. Additionally, he mentioned that it was brought to his attention that the Hindi adaptation of Pushpa 2 is surpassing the original in popularity.

Regarding this, he acknowledged the global frenzy surrounding the movie and stated, “This is indeed a significant triumph for Allu Arjun, Sukumar, and their entire creative team.

Originally, the veteran actor confessed that they hadn’t foreseen the massive success of the initial Allu Arjun film. But with its sequel, everyone was anticipating and expecting it to excel. Now, he added, “the answer to how well it will do is being revealed.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this: Previously lending my voice to iconic characters such as Iron Man and Captain Jack Sparrow, I was recently asked about my feelings regarding the second installment of our project. In truth, we approached the first one with no preconceived expectations, instead choosing to have fun and explore our creative freedom as much as possible.

They chose to blend Haryanvi-Rajasthani dialects when portraying Fahadh Faasil’s character, SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, rather than sticking strictly to the original language, as his character is from Rajasthan and was not fluent in the local tongue. This adaptation was made to make the story more accessible for audiences in the Hindi-speaking regions.

In an interview, the actor from The Race 2 shared that the freedom they had led to the public’s admiration of it. When Pushpa 2 came out, expectations were already high due to its predecessor, so there was more a sense of responsibility rather than anxiety because the audience had already developed a connection and were eagerly waiting for it. They strived to give their best, and it seems they have managed to impress the audience with their effort.

Khattar went on to disclose that he received assistance with his dubbing in the movie from one of the main aides, who originated from Rajasthan and possessed an equivalent command over the Telugu language too.

He confirmed that assistance was indeed provided for the intricacies, as I was primarily handling the rest. To clarify, I have a knack for this language too. Consequently, I made numerous corrections and adjustments myself to enhance authenticity and align it better with Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat’s character, he concluded.
