‘Quiet on Set’ Network Announces Sean “Diddy” Combs Docuseries Set for 2025

As someone who has always admired Sean “Diddy” Combs for his undeniable influence and impact on the music industry, I must say that the recent revelations about his alleged actions are truly disheartening. It’s a stark reminder that even those we idolize can have darker sides.

Investigation Discovery, known for the sensational true-crime series like this year’s Quiet on Set, revealed yesterday that they are currently working on a documentary series delving into the story of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ rise and downfall.

The multi-section document, scheduled to be released in 2025, is intended to examine “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ rise to prominence and the accusations of violent conduct and illegal activities that have followed the music executive,” as stated in a press release.

The story of this notorious character, who labels himself as a ‘Bad Boy,’ is being explored in the documentary, shedding light on accusations suggesting a repeated pattern of immoral and harmful behavior, including sexual assault and abusive actions.” (Paraphrased)

This past spring, the series “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” was launched, featuring numerous ex-Nickelodeon stars who shared allegations about a supposedly harmful work environment surrounding shows produced by Dan Schneider. The show surpassed initial predictions and even garnered two Emmy nominations.

Yesterday, ID made an announcement, following the arrest of Diddy a day prior, on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering by federal authorities in New York. The music mogul was taken into custody on Monday.

On Tuesday, an indictment covering three counties was made public, implicating Combs in numerous crimes linked to a purported decades-long cycle of physical and sexual abuse against women who were close to him. The federal authorities have accused him of sex trafficking and racketeering, alleging that he orchestrated a massive criminal organization, using it to commit assaults and traffic women since at least 2008, with the aid of his various businesses.

The arrest represents a significant escalation in Diddy’s ongoing legal predicament. Last week, his ex-bandmate Dawn Richard filed a fresh sexual assault lawsuit against him. This lawsuit encompasses allegations of battery, unlawful confinement, withholding millions of dollars owed in unpaid royalties and wages, as well as the theft of her copyrighted works.

Richard has faced at least eight complaints lodged against him since Casandra Ventura filed a lawsuit last year, alleging years of physical and sexual abuse. This lawsuit was quickly settled, but it triggered more accusers such as Liza Gardner, Joi Dickerson-Neal, and Crystal McKinney to come forward with similar allegations.

Music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones additionally brought forth a sexual assault lawsuit against Sean Combs in February, claiming that the entertainment tycoon subjected him to harassment and trafficking. In August, Combs filed a motion to dismiss Lil Rod’s case. He has also refuted the other accusations made against him.

Back in March, federal authorities stormed my homes as part of an ongoing human trafficking probe. Fast forward to May, and a 2016 video emerged, showing me in a heated altercation with Ventura. In the footage, I can be seen chasing her through a hotel room, grabbing her by the neck, throwing her on the floor, kicking her, shoving her, dragging her by her sweatshirt, and even returning later to kick her again before hurling an object from a nearby table in her direction. It’s not a sight I’m proud of.

The documentary series produced by ID will showcase accounts of numerous individuals who have accused acts of violence and cruelty, alongside historical footage and comprehensive reporting from Rolling Stone. This project is being developed for ID by Maxine Productions and IPC, in collaboration with Rolling Stone Films, and it will be available on ID and Max.
