As a seasoned golfer with a keen eye for unique and thoughtful golf-related items, I find myself captivated by the one-of-a-kind offerings from Radry Golf Series 1 – Cartner Figurine. Based on Tony Knapton’s life experiences, this brand has managed to encapsulate the essence of golf and its inherent lessons about growth, resilience, and the beauty of the game in a truly artistic manner.
In the bustling golf market, where many newcomers are trying to disrupt tradition with modernized attire, there’s still room to delve into other unique aspects of the sport. For a one-man brand named Radry, based in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and led by Tony Knapton, that niche is art and home decor. Radry, disguised as a golf brand, offers items such as original hand-drawn artwork prints and needlepoint putter covers, all produced in limited quantities. Their latest venture is a series of individually numbered resin statues.
70 statues in total form this collection, divided evenly between 35 labeled as “Radge” and 35 labeled as “Barry.” The term “Radge,” derived from Scottish slang, symbolizes someone who is not quite themselves or acting irrationally. Conversely, the name “Barry” suggests something positive or outstanding. When combined, they create “Radry.” These KAWS-inspired figurines are crafted from resin and stand at 10 inches tall. Each comes with a certificate of authenticity, and the brand’s name is embossed on the left shoe, while the character’s face serves as the Radry logo.
According to Knapton, the Radry brand focuses on attitude. Instead of viewing bad shots as discouraging, they should be seen as chances for improvement. On the other hand, even the smallest good shots are worth celebrating.
Limited numbers of each figurine are available now on Knapton’s website for $220 USD each.
