In a recent interview on Siddharth Kannan’s YouTube channel, Rajeev Khandelwal recounted an encounter with a film producer who tried to pressure him into accepting inappropriate advances. The producer boasted about his latest success, which was a Rs 100 crore hit, and then sang a song to Rajeev. However, when Rajeev refused the producer’s advances, he received a chilling warning instead.
The actor expressed, “I didn’t actually stage a scene or anything, but I gave him an equivalent gesture of the middle finger and walked away.” When inquired about the renowned figure, Rajeev affirmed, “Yes, he is. He had just released a film that grossed over Rs 100 crores at the box office. He said this to me: ‘I’ve just produced a 100-crore success; why are you refusing me?'”
Rajeev Khandelwal was told he was a drop-dead gorgeous man
As a devoted admirer of the art of storytelling, I’d be happy to add some color to Khandelwal’s account. He revealed that the movie producer refused to share the script with him, instead requesting that he perform a song for the lead actor instead. Rajeev was praised for his alluring good looks, but the film producer expressed skepticism, believing there was an undeniable masculinity about him that needed to be brought out on screen.
“Rajeev understood the suggestion. When he was asked if he would work on a film by someone, he responded that he wanted to review the script before making a decision. However, the person declined, saying they didn’t share scripts with anyone. Yet, they expressed their fondness for Rajeev and instead offered to sing a song for him.”
The Showtime actor was once more questioned by the person about doing a film, to which Rajeev responded that he required a script first. Following this exchange, the film producer rose, escorted him out, led him to his car, and issued a chilling warning. According to Rajeev, the producer had remarked, “‘I was considering offering you a two-picture contract; let’s see how far you go.’”
